    MTR Rasam Powder

    Authentic, mouth-watering South Indian Rasam. A favourite with rice or as a soup by itself.

    It's an age-old favourite, with a recipe handed down from generation to generation. MTR Foods’ Rasam Powder is finely blended so you can enjoy the spicy flavours of this classic south-indian soup.

    Directions to use MTR Rasam Powder :

    • Cook 60 gm (4 tbsp) of toor daal in 800 ml of water with 1/2 tsp cooking oil and a pinch of turmeric. Churn the cooked dal and keep aside.
    • Boil tamarind extract with jiggery. Add 1 tbsp (15g) MTR RASAM POWDER and salt to taste. Add chopped tomatoes (60g) for better flavour
    • Add the churned, cooked dal and water to the desired consistency. Cook for about 10 minutes. Prepare the seasoning of 1/2 tsp mustard and asafoetida in ghee. Add to rasam.

    Tasty Tip:
    Garnish it with finely cut coriander leaves and enjoy as a soup or you can also serve with rice.
